New York is Art.
The Theater and Music Residence offers artists time, space, and a supportive community in which they can develop their ideas and focus on their artistic practice and personal growth. These programs take place in the cultural hub of Williamsburg, Brooklyn—situated right alongside the East River, just moments away from Manhattan.
We offer artists a diverse range of innovative programs, performances, concerts, and studio visits.
Housing is available on campus, as well as opportunities to showcase one’s work.

A residency entails a stay in a different place—a different country, city, or landscape. It may be short or long in duration—lasting a month, two, or half a year. The purpose of a residency is to support the creative process; this support takes various forms, depending on how the hosting institution, organization, or individual defines this objective.
A residency offers an opportunity to examine one’s own practice within a different context. It can serve as an occasion to meet with other creators, or to present one’s work to curators and the public. It may also provide a chance to catch one’s breath, free from the burden of deadlines and financial concerns.
